Customers > De Bortoli Wines
1- Brief introduction of your company and the industry that your company belongs to.
We are a family owned company, and one of the largest Winemakers in Australia. Our head office is located on a farm in the Riverina region of NSW, we support 9 sites nationally, and several more international offices in Europe, the US and more.
From an IT standpoint, we strongly pursue and endorse the concepts of "Open Standards" and "Data Sovereignty". We are also extremely technically adept, and find we are generally several years ahead of other IT departments our size. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_bortoli_wines)
2- How digitalbucket.net utilization helps grow your company?
Digitalbucket has been very succesful with helping our marketing/export depts interract with external designers. The account structure offered with 10 sub accounts allocated to a master account is perfect because as well as providing a sub-account with full publishing access to the marketing dept, we can also provide share-only dB accounts for the major design places we frequently deal with.
The familiar interface, means there is little or no support and training required for our staff to come to grips with usage. The browser-based service delivery + cross browser support is also critical to us, as over half our company desktops are running Linux/Firefox via a trim client solution, with the rest on Windows/IE/Firefox
3- Which digitalbucket.net feature is the most useful feature and how do you use it?
The ability to provide publishing access for the internal sub-accounts, and share only access for any sub-accounts we set up for external firms we need to provide upload capabilites for.
4- How do you compare digitalbucket.net with similar products?
It compares well. The interface is very familiar, the service is well priced, but it's the various account options really set it apart - the master/sub-account plan really suits our approach to providing infrastructure and services to enable the users, while keeping IT management of the service to a minimum
5- As an established business, What was the compelling factor in your decision to use digitabucket.net?
Each of the features mentioned in previous questions are compelling in their own right, the fact that digitalBucket nailed them all was the most compelling factor :)
6- Any other comments you might have
The responsiveness of the support team is fantastic. Every bug/wishlist request I have filed has been at least responded to within 24 hours, and in most cases, fixed in that timeframe too.
It's also been very valuable to be able to discuss/critique the service directly with Greg (as CEO and founder of digitalBucket).
